The month of October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and National Bullying Prevention Month. To raise awareness about these serious issues that afflict our society, the Holland Police Department has entered into a partnership with Stop Abuse Today, Inc to co-host a 5K walk & run. The 5K will proceed through the scenic roads of Holland beginning at the Elementary School parking lot on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 9 AM. There will also be an alternative 1-mile walk option for participants.
Stop Abuse Today, Inc is a local nonprofit whose purpose is to support abuse victims by providing education, awareness, outreach, and support concerning domestic abuse, elder abuse, and bullying among our youth. This is a family-friendly event and free of charge but any donations that may be collected will exclusively benefit Stop Abuse Today Inc so they may continue their important mission.
